No Account Required
Extinct does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. All data remains on your device.
Contact Form Submissions
When you reach out through the contact form on our website, we collect the email address and message you submit so that we can respond to your inquiry. These submissions are processed by Formspree solely for communication purposes.
How We Use Your Information
Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to your information. The App uses your locally stored data solely to:
- Display your habit tracking progress and statistics

Third-Party Services
Apple StoreKit
Extinct uses Apple's StoreKit framework to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. When you make a purchase:

- Subscription status is verified through Apple's servers but stored locally on your device
Formspree
We use Formspree to power the contact form on our website. When you submit the form, your message and email address are transmitted to Formspree so we can respond. Formspree may store this information on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not use the information for marketing purposes or share it with other third parties.
Data Storage and Security
All your data is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's CoreData framework. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device
- We do not use cloud storage or sync services
- Your data is protected by your device's security features
- If you delete the App, all associated data is removed from your device
Contact form submissions are securely transmitted to Formspree and stored according to their policies. We retain this information only as long as necessary to address your request.

- Deletion: You can delete individual habits, sessions, or all data by uninstalling the App
- Export: While not currently available, you maintain full control over your locally stored data

Extinct is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us.
